Cormorant Rock, known to the surfers of San Diego as Bird S--t Rock, is home to dozens of ocean cormorant birds and many make-shift sculptures on top of this 20-30 foot tall rock. The recent one was an expensive 3 foot high sculpture of a peace sign made out of metal and stain glass that caught the sunset light through it. It was put up at the start of the election hoopla in 2007 and during the primaries in early 2008, disappeared.
