As an environmental artist and a California coastal native, Dot Renshaw's  paintings reflect her reverence for the vanishing wilderness and  nature's beauty. She works in oil, pastel, and watercolor and in both plein air landscapes and figures. Her exuberance is  shown through her energetic brush strokes , dramatic light, and color nuances in her subjects. She has painted California's changing scenes since her childhood and taught art in Escondido High Schools for over 30 years sharing her passion with her students.
